    Introduction Withthisdeviceyouhaveacquiredasolarinverterforconnectionofphotovoltaicsystemstothe grid.ThisEuropeansolarinvertercanbeusedinandisapprovedforthefollowingcountries:Ger- many, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Czech Republic and Belgium. The solar inverter is characterized by its advanced housing design and state-of-the-art high-frequency technology, whichenablethehighestlevelsofefficiency. Thesolarinverterincludesmonitoringunits,suchasanti-islandingprotection.Thefunctionofthe anti-islandingprotection(automaticisolationpointforin-plantgenerationsystems)stipulatescom- pliance with the specifications of DIN VDE 0126-1-1, EN 50438, ENEL G.L. 12/2008, RD 1663, andcompliancewiththedirectivesforparalleloperationofpowergenerationplantsonlow-voltage gridofyourlocalutilitycompanies.Thesearedeclaredbycertificates(CECertification-see§12).

    Technical structure of the solar inverter AgalvanicalisolationofthesolarinverterfromthegridisachievedthroughaDC/ACconverterwith anintegratedhigh-frequencytransformer.Thephotovoltaicvoltageisadjustedsothatthemaximum poweroutputofthePVmodulesisalsoachievedwithvaryingsolarirradiationlevelsandtempera- tures(MPP-Tracking). TheMPPrangeofthesolarinverterisbetween150Vand450V.ThisfacilitatestheuseofPV modulesbyavarietyofmanufacturers.Measuresmustbetakentoensurethatthemaximumopen- circuitvoltageof540VDCisneverexceeded.Pleasenotethatthemaximumopen-circuitvoltage will occur at the lowest temperatures anticipated. You will find more detailed information about temperaturedependencyinthedatasheetofthePVmodules.Thedevice’spowerconsumptionis kepttoaminimum. Thehigh-qualityaluminumcasingcorrespondstoprotectionclassIP65(water-jet-proofanddust- proof)andisprotectedagainstweatheringprocessesbysurfacerefinement.Thecoolingcharac- teristicprofileisdesignedsothatoperationoftheinverterispossiblewithambienttemperatures from-25°Cto+70°C. Acoolingcharacteristicprofileisusedfortheremovalofthepowerdissipationcausedthroughthe voltage conversion. An internal temperature control protects the device against excessive tem- peraturesintheinteriorofthesolarinverter.Incaseofhighambienttemperatures,themaximum transferablepowerislimited.

    Installation Installationandcommissioningmustonlybecarriedoutbyqualifiedelectricalexperts. Therecommendedsafetyregulations,thetechnicalinterfaceconditions(TAB2000),aswellasDIN VDE0126-1-1,EN50438,ENELG.L.12/2008andRD1663specifications,should becomplied with. Assemblyinstructions Mountthemountingplatewithappropriatescrews(max.Ø6mm)intoatleastfourof theeightholestofixthewallbracketinplace.Youcanemploythemountingplateasa templateformarkingthepositionsoftheboreholes.
