Sleeping Beauty co*cktail

The full ingredients list and instructions are found in the printable recipe card at the end of this post. I highly recommend reading the blog post all the way through so that you don’t miss any tips or substitution suggestions and ensure that you have all the ingredients and equipment required and understand the steps and timings involved.

In Halloween past, I shared a Maleficent co*cktail, a purple shimmering co*cktail to honor the Mistress of Evil (my favorite Disney Villain!)

For Halloween this year, it’s time for Princess Aurora (my favorite Disney Princess!) and a pretty pink and shimmery co*cktail strictly for adults only!

(But as always, a non-alcoholic mocktail version is also included).

Sleeping Beauty has been a favorite fairy tale for many generations, and this co*cktail recipe, which includes vanilla vodka, is great to serve at Halloween or any occasion that requires a pink co*cktail!

The Sleeping Beauty co*cktail gets its pink color from raspberry liqueur, which is another element of this adult beverage.

But if you remember the Disney movie, you’ll know that the two fairies, Flora and Merryweather argue over whether the dress for Briar Rose should be pink or blue, and using magic, they keep changing the dress.

So, if you prefer Princess Aurora in blue, you could switch the raspberry liqueur to raspberry vodka and use a blue food coloring to make a blue Sleeping Beauty co*cktail instead!

Ingredients Used In This co*cktail

This recipe’s ingredients and tools are conveniently linked to online retailers like Amazon, Amazon Fresh, Instacart, and Walmart.

This co*cktail is shaken, but don’t worry if you don’t have a co*cktail shaker.

You could just use a container with a tight-fitting lid – like a mason jar or the cup on a blender or smoothie maker.

Sleeping Beauty co*cktail Variations

Virgin Sleeping Beauty Mocktail (Non-Alcoholic)

So that non-drinkers can enjoy a mocktail version of this drink there are a few easy tweaks to make!

Of course, the first thing is to remove the alcohol, then replace with something else – usually syrups or juices, or, if you can source them, non-alcoholic spirits.

I love the Monin brand of syrups as there are many flavors and they are a very versatile ingredient that can be used in co*cktails, mocktails, coffee, cocoa, shakes, smoothies, and more.

To make a Sleeping Beauty Mocktail, follow the recipe card, but replace the alcoholic elements with the following syrups:

I haven’t made the mocktail version, so I recommend adding the syrups to taste as they may add a sweetness that you may not necessarily get from alcoholic liqueurs.

You may also want to add a drop of pink food coloring to add more color if desired.

For adults who would still like to enjoy the taste of alcohol in their mocktail, you could try Strykk no Vanilla V*dka – available from their website directly in the UK but also available on Amazon.

Frozen Sleeping Beauty

Want to turn this Disney drink into a frozen slushie?

Put all the ingredients in a blender with a generous amount of crushed ice – then blend till smooth.

Serve with a straw, and watch out for brain freeze!

You could do the same with the mocktail version too.

Sleeping Beauty co*cktail For a Crowd!

Want to make a big batch of Sleeping Beauty for a party or gathering? It’s so easy!

As long as you use the same measuring container (glass, cup, jug, etc.) for the “1 part”, the ratios will be correct, and you can make as much as you need to.

Serve the large batch co*cktail in drinks dispensers, pitchers, or go really retro and serve from a punch bowl! Whichever container best suits your event (and the drink!).

Make sure you add plenty of ice to your serving receptacle of choice to keep the co*cktail chilled – you can pop in some cherries as garnish.

You could also skewer onto sword-shaped co*cktail picks some cherries and mint leaves for guests to garnish their drinks.

When setting up your bar serving area, included co*cktail glasses, small napkins, a filled ice bucket, stirrers, and themed co*cktail decorations if suitable!

To make a big batch of this Sleeping Beauty co*cktail, mix together:

  • 1 part Raspberry Liqueur
  • 1 part Vanilla Vodka
  • 4 parts Sprite or 7 Up
  • Silver Shimmer/Lustre Dust – add as required to create the desired shimmer effect.
